Haley Wiest, MA, LPC

Hello! I’m Haley and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) serving Colorado. I’ve earned my Bachelor’s of Science (BASc) in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University and my Master’s Degree (MA) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Psychotherapy from Northwestern University.

Throughout my training, I have worked with many different mental health diagnoses and degrees of severity. I specialize in supporting adults and couples recovering from depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma (C-PTSD), grief and loss, and challenges related to intimacy and relationships.

I am especially aligned with women who are seeking healthy, fulfilling love; navigating complex family or personality dynamics; improving self-esteem; healing from abusive situations; experiencing postpartum stress; or stepping into the role of motherhood for the first time.

I offer tangible feedback and take an experiential, compassionate approach. I utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Couples Therapy Methods, and Psychodynamic Therapy in order to help my clients achieve satisfying outcomes based on their specific needs. I emphasize safety, trust, and cultural awareness, and am grounded in the belief that every client has the internal resources to live a life they’re proud of.

Clients are supported in building greater insight into their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and underlying needs, as they develop practical skillsets that provide relief.

I've witnessed profound and lasting changes in the clients I work with—ranging from uncovering and reshaping relationship patterns that lead to long-lasting connection, to deep emotional healing, increased self-acceptance, and meaningful lifestyle shifts.

My own connection to the hardships many of my clients face, along with a deep appreciation for the transformative power of therapy, is what inspires me to give back through this work.

Therapy isn’t just for crises, it’s for rediscovering who you are, and for being seen, perhaps for the first time.

When I am not providing services I enjoy swimming, mountain-biking, and snowboarding. I also engage in many of the practices I share with my clients, such as breathwork, meditation, and yoga.
